years since the passage of the HITECH Act.
With an eye on stimulating an economy still in the throes of
the Great Recession, the U.S. federal government designated
more than $19 billion of the $787 billion American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act to expedite the implementation of
electronic health records and encourage overall investment
in healthcare IT.
